Why the name deep:black?
deep:black is the colour that is made when all colours in the spectrum are combined. deep:black stands for the unknown and the way in which many people perceive conflict as being something negative and scary. deep:black is about supporting people in exploring their relationship with conflict by stepping into the dark creatively through the arts.
What is your governence structure?
In April 2010 deep:black was registered as a workers' cooperative, a governance structure which reflects our core values around common ownership, community and sustainability. As a co-op deep:black is non-hierachical; we are owned by our members who all have an equal say in the running of the company and reach decisions through consensus.
How can I get involved?
deep:black is always interested in making new connections with people who want to get involved in our work. Please get in touch at contact@deepblack.org.uk
